About Us

Bill Johnes - Bill Johnes, has been involved in music since the age of 10 starting with piano lessons and music theory. He started playing guitar at age 12. Raised in Sarasota, Florida, he performed with local artists and had one of the top duo acts in the area. His musical instrument studies include piano, classical guitar, bass guitar and electric guitar. He co wrote the humorous blues tune Your So Ugly Baby which received quite a bit of air play on the local radio stations in the 1980's. He played for the Lisane Lions Band and opened for acts such as Billy Crash Craddock.

Bill Bennett -
Bill became interested in drumming at a young age and that interest was fueled when he went to a Conway Twitty & Loretta Lynn concert with his parents in the early seventies. “My mom and aunt knew Conway before he changed his name to Conway, so I got to meet him, Loretta and their band members". "While standing among these superstars, all I wanted was an autograph from the man I had been watching all night. That would have been Conway's drummer, Tommy "Pork Chop" Markham".
After the autograph and a few kind words of encouragement the fire was fueled. Bill beat on anything that would make a drum sound with whatever make-shift sticks could be found.
The parents finally gave in to the consistent requests for a drum kit and that's where it began.
With only a few "professional" lessons, Bill learned to play by ear and feel. He would also watch and listen to other drummers trying to understand exactly what they were doing. In middle school he discovered guitar players that wanted to jam and by high school the first band was formed, "Phoenix". "By now my two favorite drummers were Steve Smith of Journey and Rick Allen of Def Leppard". After moving and transferring schools, Bill jammed with several musicians and was in multiple incarnations of "garage bands", playing anywhere people would listen. "After high school I was working and could finally afford newer quality gear and I became a gear junkie, a bad habit I still have".
Bill continued to practice technique, which was lacking in younger years, and jammed when possible until life and career got in the way and he took an extended break.
After many years away from playing Bill met his wife and she encouraged him to follow his love for music and start playing again. "Some days she wishes that I had never started back because I get so consumed in what I'm doing, but she still supports what I love".
Since returning to music Bill has played with several talented bands and has had the privilege of playing with a couple of full time pros.
"Many thanks to "Pork Chop" and my wonderful wife"

Dave Vieira -

David Parker -
David played guitar with a band called the Soul Syndicate (Later shortened to just The Syndicate) in Columbia SC from 1967 until 1970. After High School the band members went different ways, David continued to sit in with various groups around Columbia until he hooked up with a couple of guys and landed a house gig at The Wagon Wheel Club on Two Notch Road from 1973 until 1974.

David married a girl (Sharon) he met at the Wagon Wheel Club in December of 1974, took a real job and raised a family of two boys and various dogs. In 1999 after the boys were gone; David began going to open jam sessions where he hooked up with a few guys (Dave, Jim, and Bill) and started playing Bass Guitar with Remember When from 2000 until 2006. Since the breakup of Remember When due to health reasons for two of the members, David has been where ever he can have a good time and play music. But I've found a home now.
